Dr. Ian Gibson

Manager of Assessment and Evaluation Affairs

In Dr. Gibson’s 22 years of experience in Higher Education, he has held a range of executive positions, serving as academic program leader/chair, department manager, senior lecturer, research lead and management consultant. He holds a PhD in Business, Management and Corporate Governance across the sports business sector, a Master of Science and GradCert in Management, a Post Graduate Diploma in International Business Law and a Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice. Dr. Gibson is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

 As an experienced educator, Dr. Gibson has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students across a range of business, management, leadership and law programs of study. He is highly experienced at crafting and implementing effective learning, teaching and assessment strategies, which foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment to enhance the educational outcomes for students.

 Alongside his academic experience, Dr. Gibson is an accomplished management consultant and researcher, specializing in innovative management practices across a range of public and private sectors. Dr. Gibson researches, constructs and implements end-to-end machine learning (ML) and analytical models that enhance real-life business solutions, delivering tangible economic, environmental and societal value. His models act as robust tools that facilitate informed organisational decisions, enhancing value outputs, optimizing processes and streamlining operations.
