E-learning

Rabdan Academy provides notable support to student e-learning study. Students are provided with access to and support with Moodle, WebEx, Respondus Lock-Down & Monitor, and MS Teams. RA students utilize the support material that is stored on the Student Corner Moodle site. The support material includes step-by-step guidelines to support students with accessing instructional material and the contact details for faculty and IT support.

In addition, Rabdan Academy provides services for all students through the Online Portal “Student Self Services”, such as: appeals of all kinds; support letters of all kinds; accommodation & transportation; IT or equipment issues; student documents; general information or inquires; assist on major or grades; add & drop; submit required documents; pay the financial dues; and use library facilities.

RA online e-learning programs are also supported by a set of additional learning resources. These primary Library resources include the following:

• Open source material that includes e-books, online electronic journals, newspapers, and electronic formatted reports

• Electronic databases for topical research and applications for data analysis

• Use of Screencast-O-Matic recording software for production of multimedia instructional delivery

• Dedicated IT Moodle support staff

Library resources, technical support and advising services are available for all students at RA regardless of the mode of delivery. Each student has access to his/her advisor through the student self-service portal.

IT Services

Rabdan Academy offers a reputable set of high-quality tools and systems that enable students to integrate into the educational process with ease. The technical support systems for students also include providing high speed and capacity computers, laptops, tablets, printing machines, copying machines, scanners - as well as providing high speed networking and wireless connectivity for all students on the campus that facilitates the use of the necessary platforms for the educational process.

During orientation program, students are informed of all the support services Rabdan Academy provides, especially ICT services that are accessible to all students through: servicedesk@ra.ac.ae and advising and academic support and tutoring sessions through: Deans-Office@ra.ac.ae.
