Dr. Khairilmizal Bin Samsudin

Assistant Professor

Ts. Dr. Khairilmizal Bin Samsudin is an Assistant Professor at Rabdan Academy and a distinguished expert in Safety Engineering and Emergency Management with over 20 years of experience. His career is characterized by the strategic integration of industrial technical consultancy and academic leadership. He is a certified NFPA Professional Instructor and holds comprehensive certifications through FEMA programs. To complement his technical mastery, he is certified in Project Management by Google, enabling a structured, data-driven approach to complex disaster management operations.

Dr. Khairilmizal has served as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for international agencies and major global corporations, where he specialized in reducing corporate liability, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing high-risk operational environments. His technical leadership is underscored by his roles as Exercise Manager for several programs up to a national level, and his ongoing consultancy for multinational entities.

As a former Technical Advisor for the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia, he played a pivotal role in shaping national disaster management planning and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) protocols. In academia, he has led the development and restructuring of specialized curricula for Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), ensuring programs meet international safety standards. His commitment to educational excellence is further demonstrated by his roles as an academic program auditor and reviewer for the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT)
