United Arab Emirates – 24 May 2026: The Emirates Association for Social Development, in collaboration with Rabdan Academy, organized an awareness session titled “National Security System” under the theme “Towards a More Resilient Nation.” The session forms part of the Association’s ongoing efforts to enhance community awareness, foster a culture of national responsibility, and support the concepts of security and stability.
The session featured Dr. Mahd Ahmad Al Quraan, who discussed the strategic dimensions of the concept of national security in the UAE, describing it as an integrated system that extends beyond the traditional understanding of security to encompass social, economic, cultural, and developmental dimensions.
He highlighted the concept of national security and its comprehensive components, the role of state institutions in promoting security and stability, and the responsibility of community members in supporting the national system and safeguarding the achievements attained by the country.
For his part, Khalaf Salem bin Anbar, Director General of Emirates Association for Social Development, emphasized that the security, stability, and developmental leadership enjoyed by the UAE are the result of the wise leadership’s vision, which has made human development and national preparedness a sustainable approach throughout the nation’s journey.
He noted that national security, in its modern concept, has become a societal culture and a national behaviour founded on awareness, commitment, and belonging. He added that enhancing community preparedness begins with strengthening values of loyalty to the nation, confidence in its institutions, and the ability of individuals to understand changes and respond to them responsibly.
The session is part of the Association’s programs aimed at promoting national awareness and strengthening knowledge partnerships with academic and specialized institutions, contributing to the development of a more prepared and capable society that supports the UAE’s comprehensive development journey.
